My Vision for Englewood Schools
Building Bright Futures Together
Student Engagement
I envision a school district where every student has the resources and support they need to be curious, confident, and prepared for their next steps in learning and in life. For too long, our education system has been constrained by narrow testing focus, but I believe Englewood Schools can move beyond testing to prioritize authentic engagement. Academic learning should connect to student interests, foster curiosity, and give students agency in their own learning. As a district we should prioritize:
Making engaging experiences accessible to all students and equitably providing each student with the tools they need to succeed.
Attracting and retaining highly qualified teachers and empowering them as professionals in their classrooms.
Broadening how we assess academic success to go beyond test scores.
The districts Strategic Plan supports these priorities and I support a laser focus on engagement. I want our students to move beyond an achievement mindset to truly engage as explorers in their education. In doing so, they will naturally excel academically and develop the critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills they need for bright futures in careers, college, and civic participation.
Community Partnership
One of our district’s greatest strengths is our community. Let’s leverage our current community partnerships and build new ones to engage and support all students. Possible opportunities include:
Community Schools model, in which schools serve as hubs where educators, families, and community members collaborate to improve outcomes for all students.
Student internships, service learning opportunities, and mentoring relationships that connect the classroom to real-world experiences.
Students as collaborators. Let’s create pathways for students to contribute ideas and feedback to school and district leadershipand the School Board.
Families as collaborators. Let’s welcome and empower families to authentically partner with schools to support their students.
Our education system works best when all stakeholders are welcomed and engaged in the process. We need the diverse voices of our community—students, teachers, families, and neighbors—to build and expand student access and success. When our schools and our community work together, we can build bright futures for all students and our community.
Transparency & communication
Trust is built through clear communication and inclusive decision-making. All stakeholders - families, students, teachers, and community members - should have meaningful opportunities to participate in shaping our district's future. This includes actively seeking out diverse voices through personal outreach and trusted community partnerships and making space to welcome and listen to these voices.
When difficult decisions arise, transparent processes that engage stakeholders early lead to better solutions and stronger community support. Our families deserve to understand not just what decisions are made, but how and why they are made, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued in building our students' bright futures.
Clear and regular communication also provides the opportunity to celebrate our student, school and district successes. Shining a light on our achievements builds a positive feedback loop in which successes build even more success.
About Tiffany
I am running for a seat on the Englewood School Board, because I want to be a voice for student engagement, community collaboration, and transparency as the school district leverages its strengths to tackle its challenges. I believe that we can find creative solutions and build bright futures together by lifting up and empowering the diverse voices of students, families, teachers, and community members, alongside school and district leaders.

I am a 19-year resident of Englewood and live here with my husband, Mike, and our two daughters—all three of whom have attended Englewood Schools. Community service is a part of who I am as a person. I have served as a Girl Scout troop leader for the past seven years, and I am an active volunteer in our schools. I have gained deep insights into our district through my service on the School Accountability Committees for four schools as well as the District Accountability Committee (DAC). As a co-chair for the DAC during the last three years, I have presented recommendations to the School Board, brainstormed solutions to district challenges, and provided feedback to school and district leadership. I was proud to serve as the treasurer for the bond campaign in 2023 to support our teachers and bring much needed financial stability to the district. These days, you’ll also find me supporting the EHS Marching Band as a Booster. It has been immensely satisfying to see the positive impact of my efforts on students and our community.

As a science educator, I bring two and a half decades of education background focused on engaging learners through inspiring and authentic learning experiences. I currently run an education consulting business, where I provide education outreach and program development for clients including museums, botanic gardens, education companies, and even a NASA space mission. Before building my own business, I spent nearly a decade in the School and Teacher Programs department of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and two years as a Peace Corps Environmental Education Specialist in Bolivia.

I believe strongly in Englewood Schools and the value of our small, community-driven district. The School Board represents a new opportunity for me to serve the Englewood community in a role for which I have the skills, knowledge, and passion necessary to make a positive difference for our students, families, teachers, and leaders. As someone who moved to Englewood as an adult, I was initially surprised, then deeply impressed, to discover how many residents grew up here and chose to stay and send their own children to the same schools where they once learned. Our Englewood community - the city, business owners, and neighbors - is one of our district’s greatest strengths. As a school board member, I would work to engage our community and support the building of partnerships to support student engagement, learning, and success.
If elected, I would be excited champion and leverage student and school successes as well as to tackle current challenges collaboratively and creatively. My guiding star would always be to support our students in reaching their greatest potential.
